How To Secure Your Joomla Website

Steve Floyd

Joomla Security

One of the biggest problems plaguing the Joomla! community for the past few years has been security. Many people have actually dumped Joomla! for Wordpress or Drupal because of this. The sad part is, 99.9% of people who get hacked is because of their own negligence, not because of the Joomla! CMS.

Building Customer Base

I have found that there is no better way to build your prospects than actually going out physically to the location. Leave your card and find out who is the decision maker for your service or product. After obtaining this information (preferably their business card), then send them a personalized letter, along with any promotional material you have so that they will receive it directly. I also set up a folder along with any information, names numbers, emails, etc. for that company.

How To Set Up A Blog

First off, if you are going to blog, you need what is called a Content Management System (CMS) so you can organize your posts and media in one place and not have to mess with code. Fortunately there are wonderful free and open source content management platforms like Wordpress, Joomla! and Drupal that will enable you to set up a dynamic highly customized blog, as well as other 3rd party hosted services like Blogger, Tumblr and LiveJournal (which have some limitations but are very easy to use) so setting up your own blog has never been easier.
