20 Resources for PHP Developers

Finding good resources for web development can be an entire project within itself. PHP developers (and programmers in general) are an eccentric breed. We like what we like and often tend to be skeptical of the latest gizmo until we have confirmed the value for ourselves.

Adoption is often determined by the balance of speed, security, elegance and time / cost. When all of these things line up, we will use certain tools religiously. Others are elitists who scoff at the mere mention of an IDE or framework.

They think true devs only need a terminal and a text editor to get the job done and anything less is just uncivilized. Hats off to those guys, but for the rest of us, frameworks, IDEs and documentation are fundamental for rapid development.
